First and foremost, FUN! We are largely self-educated (both from drinking and reading about wine) and have a desire for others to learn the same way we have. We have seen many “aha” moments amongst ourselves during wine tastings as well as others through events we have brought to others. We want you to have an EXPERIENCE, not simply tasting an alcoholic beverage.
We will also take the time to carefully select the wines for your individual event. In addition, we will select and create individually prepared plates of charcuterie that will pair well with your wines. A charcuterie board containing these items will also be prepared.
Our “experience packages” will last roughly 2 hours as you and your party taste through 5-6 wines. In most cases, we plan two separate flights with a 10-15 minute “stretch” break after the first flight.
We would recommend starting your event no earlier than 12 noon and no later than 7 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We may be able to also accommodate late Friday afternoons, but most often we would recommend 6-7 pm. Since we all still have full time jobs as well, weekdays are very limited but if you are planning something special during the week please call us and we would be happy to see if we are able to accommodate you.
For Vino Yay! experiences, we would require a minimum 60-90 minute setup time. Although venues vary, we have found that guests have an improved experienced while they are visiting away from the tasting area.
You bet! We call it Vino Yay! Platinum. Depending on your venue and the size of your guest list we can help glam up your space. We can take care of table decorations, sending invitations to all of your guests, arranging the tables and chairs as needed and even adding patio lights for an added touch. Depending on your group size, Vino Yay! Extra would be $300-$400 in addition to your Experience Selection
Trust us, when we get started everyone will wonder when they can start drinking!! There will be plenty of conversation about the selections, pairings, and tidbits of information you'll take with you to impress your friends! Your Vino Yay! experience also includes wine trivia with your guests which might have a prize or 2, or 3.
No problem. we have you covered! We provide the glasses needed for your event.
Our goal is for you to do as little as possible. The only items you will need to have available are enough tables and chairs for all of your guests, plus 2-3 Vino Yay! team members who will be tasting alongside your guests in order to help answer questions throughout the tasting.
We price our packages to maximize your investment in the experience by keeping the number of bottles/wine to what is needed for your party size. That does mean, however, that some size parties will have much more of the tasted wines remaining while other sized groups will have less. If you would like to have more wine for after the tasting, let us know and we will gladly hook you up!
After everyone will have had a great time tasting the 5-6 wines, built into our package is an extra special wine, which is a “step up” from those in the tasting, and will be served at the end.
Once your event is concluded, Vino Yay! team members will begin gathering glasses and take care of the wine bottles, cases, etc. The charcuterie board and food is yours to keep!
If you choose Vino Yay! Platinum, we will begin taking down decorations, lights, etc. that are property of Vino Yay!
We can create any package value based on the level of wine experience you would like to have and how many people in your party. We may not be for everyone, but believe in the value we will bring to you and your guests. Our value experiences will always include, wine, plated and charcuterie board(s), sanitized glasses (we also wear gloves when serving), party favors, an “extra” bottle of the next level wine and our experience as a tasting team.
Our three tasting experience options include: “That’s not beer!” which examines entry level priced wines; “Winos make pour decisions” that focuses on moderately priced wines; and, for those looking to create a really Wow!, a.k.a. Vino Yay! experience is our “Wine snobs” selection from which we will curate a tasting line-up of premium wines that your friends/family will talk about for years to come.
For example, a Vino Yay! “Winos make pour decision” experience package for 6-9 guests would be $1,100. Cost may vary as it is subject to fluctuating wine prices.
